Our Story - 5th Jan 2013

And 5th Jan 2013 , our story and chapter unfolds. Super love the video done by Simon Ping and his partner. The video featured our wedding theme song "A thousand Years " instrumental version by Piano Guys .

The day was full of excitement . Simple as what we dream it to be. Challenging with the rain but totally stop when the ceremony about to start. Family , friends and clients who made it for the day THANK YOU.

Special thanks goes to our emcee En. Azman (my ex-boss) + Forevermore Events for a smooth transition and flow of events. Here's the wedding highlight...plsss forward the wedding vow part ..i was nervous , screwed up the script a bit - changing the text as i speak!!

Not to forget my love bride mates , Diane - Chin Pei - Siew Chin ..thank you just not enough to convey our appreciation! To every single one of you , we are very happy and honoured to have you witness our special day , held at Tamarind Springs :

Wedding Videos + Slideshow

It was  back in 2011 we started the shoot . yes , you got it right. We got out our pre wedding shoot done way back all because we had some crazy idea to do a fusion fashion inspired wedding video - (check out Amber Chia wedding mtv here , you know what we mean).

Cool, mysterious , authentic was what we planned for.
We altered our existing gown bought from Shi Hooi and got our black/ green Lace Cheongsam from Sg. Wang. And we were ready to rock the shoot!!

Cloudy it was for the whole day , perfect for our off cam flash adventure.
Hop on to the video section to enjoy the rest of the slideshows.

Buzzing Meetup with our Wedding Planner

On monday , we met Evelyn , our wedding planner from Forevermore Events  . A vendor i've collaborated with for a few wedding assignments and we love how she facilitated and helped couples to beautifully plan a wedding.

Our first meetup which way back months ago , was more on overview .Overall concept, color theme , what we're looking for random ideas with Evelyn showing us some inspiration board to help us visualize.. well both me and my "ahemm" husband -to - be are visual people more than textual . He is an Interior Designer and me a wedding photographer .  But having a chirpy , chatty girl (me) , we discussed until the restaurant closed it's doors . Supposedly a short one , this chatterbox lengthen the whole process cause "we" had too much ideas all over the place!

And that point of time , we knew - having a Wedding Planner is the right thing to do to get ourselves focused! -or - we will never get anything done! And we were glad we engage someone with such great  vibe and ideas .

Second Meetup  (27/08) - from the ideas we discussed previously ..it has been gathered into little nuggets . And surprisingly we manage to firm
- the not so usual "guestbook"
- wedding card designs (which is very closely related to our passion)
- wedding favor (by my dear friend chin pei) and a super cute box design to compliment it more!
- and some gimmicks we cannot disclose until our important guests attend the wedding :)
and lots more..

Not bad for the 2nd round . At least we got some decisions made and deliverables ready to proceed.

Now finding time to
- location survey
- food tasting
- hotel bookings for outstation guest
- gown & heels shopping (this i like BEST!)

Slightly a bit worried /"kancheong" as we still have 4 wedding assignments to capture before our own ..I shall need to really manage my time properly and also hope i don't look like a zombie when it's near to the day.  Well , all this buzz and excitement this 3 months will be a once in lifetime experience i'll never forget!

Our Save The Date Video

The shoot took place last November (2012) . Well the both of us want to get all the photoshoot  /video captured when our schedule less packed . This session was the one we called it experimental one..dark , gloomy , trying to act cool as our other bridal photos from studio are the chirpy smiling ones .

The pictures to come , we PROMISE !! and more to disclose on the wedding day itself.
So here's the video which the invited guests received via private message /emails (you know who you are - only 80 of you ) .. See u there!

Wedding photographer >> A bride-to-be

All these while been working with brides as my part of my job as a wedding photographer. From  survey , finalize the wedding flow and also help them with slideshow if required. It has been a year in year out role as a service provider . And every wedding assignment , i feel the  the excitement and nervousness of the  brides on their very important moment of their lives.

I am glad he has been with me throughout my photography journey. He believed in me , he watched me grow and this career wouldn't have happen without him too. He bought my first DSLR as he couldn't bear seeing me shoot with a combination of film slr + compact camera.lol

Countless precious weekends together instead of  dating like normal couples do , we go out together as "partner in crime" , covering assignments till we're drop dead tired. But he never complained, just some occasional joke "Boss , can i apply MC ?" .  He's my best critic - never fail to give me honest feedback smacked to my face . We have always love mutual honesty and frankness in our communication .

In about 3 months , we shall walk down the aisle - our dream wedding at a location which we hope will leave great memories not only for us but to every single guests we've invited .

Buzz Premiere - Joy of DIY your own Save The Date video

4 months countdown . Finally have some time to get things sorted out . There's still a long top 10 list waiting for us to tick off but i guess all these are part of the wedding buzz and excitement that i've been anticipating. It's the process , the vibe , the people that is involved that truly make this experience one of its kind.

Late last night , completed the simple video edit of our Save The Date video . A good friend of us , Simon (a.k.a the boss) did a good job in helping us to capture the motions of our experimental pre wedding shoot in Penang. More photos and details of that session updated very soon!! i promise!

So for you - yes YOU - our exclusive important guests ..the video is coming your way. Be sure to check your facebook / email for that . In our effort to reduce carbon footprint , we decided to do electronic invitation and announcement instead. I once thought i wanted to do a eco-friendly 100 % recycled items wedding theme..but that idea got scraped off by SOMEONE , maybe not enough manpower for that haha.

Here's the first post ..so if you're interested to follow our blog , do subscribe with your email on the left bottom panel for more updates coming straight to your inbox .Here's the screen capture of my amateur work :)
